Waking by a pounding heart

I've been taking propranolol for my heart palpitations, aching and generally making me feel ill. I tried cutting down/out and supplementing with magnesium, (worked during the day), however whenever my heart rate drops low during sleep my heart wakes me every time, thrashing inside my chest as if my body is telling me something. Nb normal blood pressure. Is this another gift linked to PSA or am I just unlucky? I'm waiting for further tests but been prescribed 120mg Diltiazem which I'm worried about taking!

  1. this sounds so uncomfortable! I just put a quick search into our site and found a bunch of articles related to different reasons you could be having this feeling and wanted to share a few https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/clinical/thyroid-disorders https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/living/panic-attacks https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/clinical/afib. I can not tell you if this is linked to you PSA and strongly suggest following up with your primary care doctor or a cardiologist! I hope this helps and you are able to follow up with your doctors! Sending thoughts your way. Warmly, Erin (team member)
