That is a great question, ! Unfortunately, we are not doctors, and don't have the medical background to understand why you might be experiencing both a PsA and gout flare at the same time. I will say, I was able to find this information, "There is some evidence that there could be a connection between gout and PsA when it comes to uric acid" in the follow article, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/clinical/bloodwork-for-psa-results. So it appears there may be a link between the two conditions, which may be why they are flaring up at the same time for you.
Also, if you're a medical journal type person, I was able to find this article about a study done with PsA and gout, titled, "Understanding the interplay between psoriatic arthritis and gout" https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11618146/. Have you had a change to bring this question up with your rheumatologist at all? -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)

thanks for sharing the information! While I'm sorry you're experiencing so many chronic conditions, I appreciate you sharing your knowledge about the uric acid build up. Are you currently on any treatment that brings you some relief? -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)
