Fatigue with psa

I don’t know what to do , my fatigue is so bad! I’m 70 and was diagnosed in 2015. I’m having infusion every 8 weeks. Don’t even know if it’s helping. Suggestions ? Thx

  1. Hi , you are definitely not alone. Fatigue is one of the biggest challenges that community members here mention (aside from pain). It can be incredibly frustrating, and challenging to manage. I wanted to share this forum about fatigue where community members shared some of the ways they deal with it, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/forums/how-do-you-deal-with-immense-fatigue. Also, one of our advocates wrote an article about fatigue and some of her tips, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/living/fatigue. And another advocate wrote about her frustrations with fatigue as well, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/living/frustrated-with-fatigue.

While it can overwhelming and daunting to try to manage fatigue on top of the other symptoms of PsA, please know that you aren't alone! So many here understand the challenge. How long have you been on the infusions? I ask because if it's been awhile, it might be worth a conversation with your doctor about how you're finding it to be and whether or not you feel it is adequately managing your symptoms. Unfortunately, it is possible for a previously success treatment to lose it's effectiveness over time. But that doesn't mean that something else won't be a better fit for you.

I hope some of the information linked here can help! Wishing you a gentle day. -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)
