Fatigue

I've been having a difficult time staying awake in the mornings. When I wake up, usually 5 a.m., I do a few things, if I sit down, I'll fall back asleep for nearly an hour. Sometimes it happens 2 or 3 times before I actually get my day started. I just feel totally exhausted. And I'm not a lazy person.

  1. You're definitely not alone, ! That PsA fatigue can really be a challenge, one that many people in the community here deal with. I'm not sure whether or not you've already seen some of these articles, but our community leaders have written on this topic quite a bit, so I hope you're okay with me sharing a few of them here. This one, Cynthia wrote about her fatigue, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/living/chronic-fatigue. And in this article, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/living/fatigue, Diane wrote some of her tips for the fatigue. Finally, this editorial has some general information about PsA fatigue including some management ideas, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/psa-symptoms/fatigue. Please know that you aren't alone. And no, you are not a lazy person. PsA fatigue is very real and can be very debilitating. Sending you gentle hugs! -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)
