Pregnancy

Hi! Has any women here been pregnant while having psoriatic arthritis? What was your experience? Did you have to stop all medication? Did you flare up?
Thanks in advance!

  1. Hi , I'm so glad you've reached out. I hope some of our community members here can share their experiences with you of being pregnant while managing psoriatic arthritis. While I don't personally have experience with this, I did want to share this editorial article with you, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/psa-basics/pregnancy-risk-complications. One of our health leaders also wrote about being pregnant with PsA in this article, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/living/pregnancy-early-diagnosis, although it has more to do with her diagnosis than the pregnancy. And finally, another health leader wrote about her first trimester in this article, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/living/pregnancy-first-trimester. Of course, having a conversation with your doctor (both rheumatologist and OBGYN) is a good idea as well, if you haven't already, just to be sure what they recommend or suggest for you specifically as they know you and your medical history best. I do hope that you also can get some helpful feedback here from the community as well. Wishing you a gentle day. -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)
