Different appearance of Dactylitis?

My impression is that everyone with PsA has a different constellation of symptoms, would everyone agree?

My PsA seems to include dactylitis often. I've had the textbook sausage digit but it has also presented as pain and spontaneous bruising on a joint, which my rheumatologist confirmed was another way dactylitis can appear. I have something new today that I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced as dactylitis: the very end of my thumb is suddenly extremely painful. Not the distal joint but the pad of the thumb. As the day has gone on slight swelling of that distal joint has appeared (it wasn't there first thing today, just the pain) so I am feeling pretty confident it is dactylitis.
Anyone have experiences like this with variable symptoms of dactylitis?

  1. , you're absolutely right about how everyone with PsA has a different constellation of symptoms. And I hope that some of our community members here can share their experience with dactylitis with you, especially if what you're describing sounds familiar to them.

I see your comment is from last week, have you been able to get some relief? Or had a chance to reach out to your doctor about the new symptom you were experiencing? In the meantime, I wanted to share this article with you about dactylitis, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/psa-symptoms/swollen-fingers-toes.

Wishing you a gentle night. -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)
