Had 2 doses by iv infusuion so far how long does it take to see if effective?

  1. As with any biologic, this can depend on the severity of your disease, whether or not you’re in a flare, and a multitude of individual characteristics. Generally, most people seem to see some improvement after 4-6 weeks, but some see improvement sooner, as well as later.

    1. As Eric pointed out, , it can, unfortunately, take time to know if a medication is decreasing symptoms. While some people might notice a difference in symptoms in as early as three weeks, the official statement from Cosentyx is that it can take up to 16 weeks to be effective. I'm including a link to Cosentyx's website with their treatment results information, https://www.cosentyx.com/psoriatic-arthritis/treatment-results. Did your doctor give you a timeline at all? Do you have an appointment scheduled to check in with the doctor to determine if this treatment is bringing you relief or if when/if you might want to try something else? -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)
