What activities can support developing physical independenc?

  1. Look online for public programs in your community.

  2. That's a great question, . Are you looking for activities within the community (as Eric mentions) or more at-home activities for mobility?

As far as mobility and physical independence, I know we have some community members who find going seeing a physical therapist helpful. We also have people within the community who have found mobility aids helpful in developing and maintaining independence. One of our health leaders wrote several articles about PsA and mobility aids. This one lists some of the advantages and disadvantages, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/living/mobility-aid-advantages. And this one about some myths about using mobility aids, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/living/three-myths-using-mobility-aids. Another advocate wrote about her confidence in her decision to start using a mobility aid, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/living/confident-mobility-aid.

All that being said, I apologize if this was not in line with your questions. Please let me know if I missed the mark and I will try to connect you with other information. In the meantime, hopefully more of our community members can chime in here and share with you as well. Wishing you a gentle day. -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)
