Pain in the heel of your hand

Please can anyone offer any support/advice about the intense pain in the heel of my hand and could it be linked to my Psoriatic arthritis? It hurts typing, holding the steering wheel, writing, using kitchen utensils.
Can anyone help?

  1. Hi , I'm so sorry to hear that you're experiencing such intense pain. While it certainly is possible, and PsA does impact the hands, we aren't doctors and can't say for certain if what you're experiencing is due to PsA or something else. If you haven't already, I would encourage you to reach out to your doctor, especially as it sounds like this is impacting your ability to manage day-to-day things like typing, steering wheel, etc.

That being said, many people in the community here do experience hand pain from the PsA. I'm sharing a link to an article with some information on how PsA can impact the hands, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/living/hand-symptoms. And one of our health leaders wrote about her experience with hand pain in this article, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/living/hand-symtpoms.

Hopefully some of our community members can also connect with you about hand pain, specifically in the heel of the hand.

Sending you gentle hugs. -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)
