Has anyone had a joint fusion to alleviate pain in finger?

My lower thumb joint (next to the nail) is very painful and always swollen.

    Hi , I am sorry you didn't get any responses to your question. Is your doctor recommending joint fusion for you? Has this been an ongoing symptom for you? It sounds very painful.
