I have PsA but also ostio arthritis and Fibromyalgia. How do people know what pain is which?

  1. Unfortunately, , that is a challenging question to be able to answer, and one that I think many people living with multiple conditions struggle to answer. Managing multiple conditions, especially with overlapping symptoms, can make determining which symptom is being caused by which condition very tricky.

One of our health leaders did write about her experience of differentiating between PsA and fibromyalgia that you might be interested in, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/living/symptoms-fibromyalgia. And this editorial has some information about the difference of the two, which might help you make the determination of which is causing which symptom, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/clinical/fibro-difference. And this one has some information on the difference between PsA and osteoarthritis, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/clinical/osteoarthritis-vs-psa-differences.

Hopefully in addition to this information, some of our community members here can also share their experiences and how they manage multiple conditions and the potential overlap in symptoms. Sending you gentle hugs! -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)
