What advice would you give a friend living with a rheumatic disease like psoriatic arthritis?

Knowledge is power! What advice would you give a friend living with a rheumatic disease (like psoriatic arthritis, lupus, fibromyalgia, RA, etc.)? Additionally, did you know of anyone who is living with a rheumatic disease before your PsA diagnosis?

I'd love to learn more about your experiences!

  1. Reach out to friends and family for help. Join forums like this one which helped me tremendously. I didn't realize that so many people were feeling like I was both physically and emotionally. You can get some great survival techniques and resources. Most importantly educate yourself and ask many questions of your doctors. If you don't have a good fit with your doc then find another.
