Will I Have To Go In A Nursing Home?

I have had psoriatic disease for 60 years. Unfortunately, each year brings on more pain along with more illness. I just got to thinking this year, what happens when I can't take care of myself anymore? My range of motion has slowed down in the last couple of years.

Have you made any future arrangements for yourself if you can no longer take care of yourself?

  1. I've led a pretty good life up to this point, despite setbacks with health. So I try not to think about such things, preferring instead to just hope that it's still somewhere over a far off horizon. But, as things stand now, my attitude is, quite simply, when i can no longer take care of myself, I'll take a whisky, a cigarette, and a bullet. In that order.

    1. Hello I'm with you. I hope it is a long way on the horizon. Oh no!!! No whisky, cigarette, or bullet. But you are right, just keep living life and move forward. Thanks for sharing, you did bring a smile to my face.

    2. , I'm with Diane. You made me smile. You have a straightforward way of putting things that I can appreciate. I'm an over thinker who is married to an engineer. He often takes a similar approach to our lives with my RA/PsA. He reminds me to deal with only what's in front of me when I wander into a future that isn't here yet.
