SI joint pain. Does anyone have fusion surgery for si joint

Sorry for my english. I am 24 yrs old start working for last 2 years it was night shift. After i have been dealing with health issues Gi symptoms like stomach pain etc then psoriasis hit in my scalp only one spot in july 2022. Then for last 1 year i am facing joint pain which starting from my finger then my neck which is stiff every morning. I am from india very scared because i know without biologics it going to difficult to live. In india biologics are not covered by health insurance thats why i am so stress. How i going to afford the price of biologics in india compare to USA or Canada price of biologics in india is 200-800 USD. No co pay for indian citizen. So i seen so many post where people did si joint for pain relief but the pain increase with nerve pain. So i am asking is anyone in this forum this si joint fusion. Thank you soo much

  1. Thank you so much for sharing with us, your English is just fine. I am sure that there are members who will be able to comment and help with experience in this regard. I hope you have been able to apply for insurance. Or possibly you could look into a patient program from the company that makes the medication? How are you holding up today? -Clair ( Team Member)

    1. Hi , thank you for reaching out to the community here. I'm sorry to read about all of the symptoms you are struggling with. We definitely have community members who have had joint fusion surgery, so I hope they'll stop by to share their experiences with you. I wanted to mention that biologics aren't the only option for treating psoriatic arthritis - there are traditional disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) that might be more accessible to you. Here's an article which looks at the different DMARDs available: https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/medications/traditional-dmards I take methotrexate which helps me (and is apparently very affordable), but we're all different. Hoping you can find a way to get the relief you deserve. Have you been able to talk with your doctor about what might be the best way forward for you? Please keep us updated on how you are feeling, and do reach out anytime you need support. Warm wishes, -Catherine, Community Moderator
