Off biologic because of cost

Recently found that medicare no longer covering Stelara for Psa under
part B now covering under prescription drug plan. I also take 20mg of
Methotrexate weekly on Saturday. Found my copay was going to be
between $1800-$4K per shot. Prohibitive as I am retired 77YO on fixed
income. Am a Veteran so tried the VA. Got turned down as my income
is too high. Decided to stay with the MTX alone and see how it goes.
anyone else experiencing this?

  1. I had to change to an infused biologic (Remicade) when I went on Medicare. Infusions are totally covered by part a because they are performed in a medical office. Also, Eric the Eric, Federal laws don't allow drug companies to offer copay assistance to anyone on government medical assistance, which is what Medicare is.... doesn't seem fair, does it?
