How long does it take for you to recover from an attack?

  1. Hi , are you wondering about recovery from a flare? Are you currently dealing with a flare right now?Unfortunately, the length of a flare really can vary person to person, but hopefully some of our community members here can share their experiences with you.

In the meantime, I wanted to share this information with you, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/infographic/when-your-psa-flare-is-flaring. It's from data that was collected awhile ago, but as you can see in the infographic, community members experiences flares that lasted from less than a week to more than six months.

How are you doing currently? This community is here for you! -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)

    1. It seems like my recovery lasts about 6 to 30 hours depending on how severe it is. I had one 2 days ago that started in the mall by the time we made it back to the van 3 more steps and I would have been crawling. My recovery took about 24 hours. May GOD BLESS everyone here in the group.

      1. It depends sometimes it’s a few days other times it can be weeks.

        1. Just like everyone else: hours to months. The worst and longest flares involve the spine and SI joints with a frustratingly persistent gluteal tendinopathy which can last more than a year despite treatment. The most troubling thing is trying to convince a doctor that pains which last only hours to days are real since by the time you get to them, they're gone or very minimal. Because of that it took me over 35 years to get diagnosed. I was often written off as a hypochondriac.
