Digestive issues

I've just been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis after 10 years and many many different tests plus various treatments all without success...I had tonsillitis when I was 36 which triggered guttate psoriasis...I'm now 62 and just been given a steroid injection into my backside...no difference whatsoever now looking at putting me on sulfasalazine...side effects look horrendous.
Any respite from the pain would be welcome, does anyone know or have digestive issues with this as it's a constant feeling of spasms inside which then move down into rectal area ,I've had so many investigations but nothing just advice to try relaxation.
Just interested if anyone else has been suffering with this ?

  1. Hi there is so much that still needs to be learned when it comes to gut health when it concerns psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. I have gut issues. IBS-C, acid reflux and diverticulitis are my pains currently. I do take Sulfasalazine and have not had any problems with it. I do know we are all different and therefore react differently to medications. It does help me. Hopefully it will help you as well. Vickie W., Team Member
