I work a rather physical job, that is made unbearable during flare-ups. My hips are affected particularly hard. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips for strengthening the hip joints or ways to deal with the pain?
Hi , thanks for reaching out. I can hear how difficult this must be for you. While I hope our community members will chime in with their tips, I am sending you an article from one of our advocates that talks about her hip issues. I hope this can help.

hi there! Dealing with hip pain while working a physical job seems like it would be very hard. I just wanted to chime in and mention that I shared your question with members over on our Facebook. They shared some things that work for them. If you're interested in taking a look, here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/PsoriaticArthritisDotCom/posts/1318301705222350. Best, Minel (Team Member)

I use a heating pad & sleep in my recliner.

Easy yoga has helped me. I do core strengthening and stability exercises. This has helped to reduce my pain and improves my sleep. I also use CBD ointment and heat in when I am stiff in the morning or evening.

thanks so much for joining the conversation and sharing what's been helpful for your hip pain. Are the core strengthening and stability exercises ones that a doctor or physical therapist share with you? Or are these ones that you found yourself? I'm so glad that you've found such helpful ways to improve your sleep and reduce pain! -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)
