Possible PsA: Seeing Specialist in February 2021

I am thankful for this site.

I'm 51, and I have had psoriasis for many years. 25-30 years on 15-20 percent of my body. I have been suffering from pain in multiple sites for over eight years. Eight years ago, I ran a 10 km run and ended up with severe hip and low back pain for almost two years. I went to an orthopedic surgeon and rheumatologist, but no definite diagnosis was given.

Referred to counseling

Approximately three years ago, I had pain that felt like someone was standing on my chest. It was thoroughly investigated, and no heart or lung problems. When I most recently (November 2019) had pain in my chest on the left side and collarbone, I went to the hospital, thinking it was heart-related again. I always tried to massage between my ribs, and it would feel better. After getting cleared again, I was sent away saying follow up with my GP. My GP thought it was anxiety, so she suggested counseling and stress reduction. I knew there was more to it.

Digestion issues

I have had GI problems, so off to a specialist. A gastroscope was done and placed on Nexium for six weeks. The pain did go away. So I thought it was due to the treatment of gastritis. This summer, the top of my feet and hands hurt all the time. It feels like bones rubbing together on my feet, and tendons are sore on the top of my hands. I’ve done my research and come up with PsA.

So frustrated and feel like a complainer with a myriad of symptoms.
