Does anyone experience liquid leaking from plaques during flares?

Hi, my name is Perrilee. I am new to the group. I have been searching for a support group in my hometown but can't seem to find one. I have flare-ups frequently. Along with the pain, the psoriasis is so bad, it's all over my entire body, except for my face.

During flare-ups, the psoriasis is so bad on my legs that they start leaking liquid. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? The more lotions, or creams that I use, the worse it gets. I just have to let my legs leak and dry up.

  1. Hi Pfarbro, thanks for your question. Most psoriasis plaques are dry and scaly—have you mentioned this symptom to your doctor? I found this article on our sister site, AtopicDermatitis.net, about weepy sores: https://atopicdermatitis.net/wet-sores-wet-eczema/ and it makes me wonder, especially that you mention that it gets worse with lotions (https://atopicdermatitis.net/living/moisturizing-eczema-prone-skin/). It might be worth a conversation.
