When Your Job Requires You To Stand For Long Periods

One of my favorite things to do now is to travel. I was at the airport recently and was talking to one of the ticket agents. The topic of standing and pain came up. After a few minutes, she told me that she had develp psoriatic arthritis. I asked her did she have any alternatives to standing for long periods. She did share a couple of things that I thought were helpful.

She said that sometimes she can lean on something if she's not busy or shuffle her feet while moving around. She said she pumps her muscles too if she's not experiencing back and knee pain at the time.

What suggestions would you give her? We would like to hear from you.
