Vaccine while taking Simponi
Hi everyone. I’ve been taking simponi for 4 months now with amazing results. From almost impossible to walk to about 90% no more inflammation or pain. I’m about to receive a Pfizer vaccine and a little worried.. anyone else taking the same meds and had or considering the vaccine? Not looking to start an anti-vax or vax argument though. Thanks
Hi @Anthonyjag. We are not medical experts, but from what I have read, both here and in our Facebook community, most people with PsA handle the vaccine just as well as people who do not have it. However, some people have reported flares that they suspect were triggered by the vaccine. Many have also said their doctors adjusted their medication schedules to allow their bodies time to build an immune response to Covid.
