Relief for swollen toes and recommended shoes?

How do you find comfortable shoes when your toes are swollen and stiff? Any recommendations?

  1. How about Dansko?

    1. I wear slides or flip flops when i have swelling. Slides are great because they are adjustable. However, neither one give any type of support. Currently i have a boot on my right leg so im only wearing 1 shoe. But another alternative wouldbe seeing a podiatrist. They have shoes that are adjustable, and honestly, theyre not too ugly lol. They also offer variety, sneakers, flats, boots all kinds and some are slightly fashionable! Whatever you decide, i hope you find some comfort!
      Best of luck!

      1. Thanks for the suggestions! I made an appointment with a podiatrist we'll see how it goes.

    2. I found the perfect shoes! I bought them because I'm going through this treatment where they wrap my legs from my toes to my knees. I needed something that could be totally adjustable & very stable. The have a strap across the toe, across the top of the foot & around the back of the heel. Every strap is a Velcro closure so they can be adjusted to fit any foot size. If you live in a climate with seasons, all you need to do is put on a pair of warm cozy socks if it's cold. So you'll have a shoe that will fit your foot with or without socks, & they'll fit whether your foot & your toes if they are swollen or their normal size. They are made by Columbia & they are called Kyra Vent II Sandal.

      1. I'll have to check them out! Thanks!
