Has anyone experienced pain and a grinding sensation in sternum and rib cage area?

  1. Hi . Have you talked with your doctor about your chest/rib pain? There two conditions common to PsA that can cause that kind of pain and sensation: costochondritis and Tietze syndrome. Here is an article that explains them. Though PsA is likely the cause, it is important not to make assumptions with chest pain. Please talk to your doctor about this if you haven't already. 1. Thank you for the information. I appreciate it. I will discuss with my doctor at next appointment. Best wishes to you as well. Karen

      1. I have! Honestly went to the hospital thinking heart attack. The doctors said not heart and sent me away. Very stressful. I am waiting to see a rheumatologist

        1. Oh wow, that's so stressful, . Glad you didn't have a heart attack. Please keep us updated on what your rheumatologist says!

          Wishing you all the best,

        1. Great advice, . I am glad your doctor did x-rays and found that broken rib. Were they able to do anything to help it heal properly or did the rib have to be removed? Wishing you the best! - Lori (Team Member)
