PsA symptom that affect me the most

My hands and feet. I work as a cake Decorator for a grocery store - so my symptoms are constant. I am in and out of a freezer all day and standing in one spot. I have tried a fatigue mat - but I have tripped over it because my toes and feet are numb and burning. I have trigger finger from using the pipping bags to frost the cakes. I am lifting 5 gallon buckets of frosting, so my elbows are hurting. I did 10 cake orders yesterday and my hands look like softball gloves. I absolutely LOVE what I do - I help people celebrate with my creativity but the pain and fatigue is too much sometimes. I took a half hour long shower with my feet soaking in a foot tub while taking a shower. There's a Kodak moment for you. But it works.

  1. That sounds like a very physical job for someone with your symptoms, . Are you taking any medications that help? Have you ever considered working for yourself as a cake decorator so you can control your workload or is that not affordable to you right now? Thinking of you and wishing you the best. - Lori (Team Member)

    1. I am currently on Cosentyx and it seems to be working. With my job, I have union backing and benefits and a steady income. My store management lets me control what I do in a day - they're pretty supportive.

      1. That's really wonderful to hear, . It sounds like the kind of place where you want to remain as long as you are able. Gentle hugs! - Lori (Team Member)
