Pain

I have been struggling with pain and stiffness for so long (over 20 years)having flares on top! I have only just received psoriatic arthritis and enthesitis. I already had fibromyalgia diagnosis and my rheumatologist checked fibromyalgia points of pain again to ensure a mistake had not been made and confirmed I did in fact have fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis too. I am wondering if anyone has enthesitis long term? Because mine never goes away just quietens down with medication is it possible for it to remain indefinitely?

  1. Enthesitis is a real bane of those of us who suffer PsA. Some DMARDS, and bDMARDS, do a better job than others at combating the pain. For me, Cosentyx never did much, whereas Skyrizi has provided 100% relief (so far). Stretching exercises, dynamic rather than static, will really help. Remaining active, to the extent possible, is really one of the best things for joint pain and enthesitis long term. And if you've not already done so, seeing a nutritionist for a diet plan can also go a long ways toward making you feel better.
