Ok so I have the diagnosis of psa my rheumatologist wants to do infusions for treatment, anyone have this done? What do you think about this, did it help, was there much difference between this and a pill form.

  1. Hi , thank you for reaching out about this. We do have community members who are treating/have treated with infusions, so I hope they'll stop by to share with you. Do you know which medication your rheumatologist is thinking of trying?

I have only been on methotrexate so far, so unfortunately I don't have any personal experiences to share. I did find an article from : https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/living/experience-with-infusion-therapy and a community member Story: https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/stories/orencia-infusions that might be of interest.

I hope others will chime in here. Keep us posted on how you're doing if you can, and let us know if you decide to go for the infusions. Hoping you can find the relief you deserve. Warmly, -Catherine, Community Moderator

    1. Right now I am currently on methotrexate for the last 4 weeks before that I was taking otezla, but I don't remember the name of the infusion medicine and I am scheduled to go back on the 21st.

      1. , thank you for sharing. How are you getting on with the methotrexate so far? I'm glad you have another appointment coming up later this month - that gives you some time to process everything and think about what you want to do. Maybe when you know the name of the infusion you can come back and share with us (if you feel comfortable doing so).

You might be interested to keep an eye on the following discussion between and : https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/members/faith1/status/131885 - they're both at the start of their journeys with Simponi Aria infusions. Wishing you the very best for your appointment on the 21st. Please keep us updated on how you're doing, and do reach out anytime you need support or have questions.
