Medication for psoriatic arthritis

I've been on methotrexate and folic acid. I still feel dizzy, tired, and very foggy brained. Still achy and sore but better than before meds. The side effects make me feel awful.
Suggestions on what other medicine to try.

  1. Hi @davidr. Methotrexate is usually the first medication doctors try, in part, because insurance often requires it (It's one of the cheapest PsA drugs.) But there are so many more out there. Everyone reacts differently to PsA medications, so it might not help to get recommendations from others. What helps one person does not necessarily help an other. So it becomes a matter of trial and error. Here is a list of PsA medications from our editorial team: https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/medications. Maybe you could take this list to you doctor to get a discussion started about changing treatments. I hope you find something that helps. Best wishes! - Lori (Team Member)
