Looking to connect with a mother with PsA

I’m a 39 year old female married with a 3 and 5 year old at home. I’d love to connect with another mother with little ones who has psoriatic arthritis and enthesitis so that I don’t feel so alone with this debilitating disease. I am newly diagnosed and started treatment with methotrexate and Remicade.

  1. Hi . I know there are plenty of others in your situation in this community and I hope you get some responses from them. Connecting with other moms of young ones is a great idea. Best wishes! - Lori (Team Member)

    1. Hi, not a mother but I’m a dad of 3, 33 years old and had psa for 8-10 years. My youngest son has autism too so I know how difficult it can be to fight through some days. Hope your treatments work, take care x

      1. That is a lot to contend with, . Are you getting much help from the county and/or your local school system with your son? We have lots of autism in my family. I understand how important early invention is and how challenging those early years can be. Sending the best of all wishes your way. - Lori (Team Member)

      2. my son is autistic too, profoundly so. He has a great Dad but I struggle because I used to be "his person" when I was healthier and he was lighter, now I cant walk or take him out on my own, hes 11 stone and 5 foot 5" so noone can but I cant explain it to him either, why Mama only ever makes the food and packs the bags and never runs through the fields anymore. I hope you are mobile? All the best thoughts your way.

    2. HI! I'm a 34 year old mom. Got diagnosed 3 weeks ago and am so scared. I have a 3 and 5 year old too

      1. It's all pretty new for you as well, . Have you started treatment? Please let us know if you have questions we can help you with. Warmest of wishes. - Lori (Team Member)

    3. hello, sorry to hear you feel alone. I'm 36 and have a 3 and a 5 year old also. I am permanently exhausted! I totally get the drain and guilt of it all. My diagnosis is still not set but I'm on Sulfasalazine and Biologics now. You are not alone xx

      1. Hi . Is there something that is preventing your doctor from giving the official diagnosis? Are the treatments helping? Keeping up with kids that age can be hard enough without PsA fatigue. I hope you don't let the guilt overwhelm you. You didn't choose to have PsA and your kids will likely grow up to be awesome adults full of empathy. Best wishes. - Lori (Team Member)
