Has anyone rapidly developed tinnitus over a matter of a few months?

I started noticing mild intermittent tinnitus about 6 mos ago. The neurologist thinks it is ENT; ENT says it is neurological. Now what??? And BTW, it is becoming maddening, especially when things are quiet.
I have stopped aspirin, reduced gabapentin, and stopped Cymbalta (which was hell in itself).

I am convinced it is my neck.

I am about to get frustrated!

  1. Sounds so frustrating! Has your rheumatologist said whether it could be related to your psoriatic arthritis? Hearing loss and hearing issues are actually a pretty common symptom of PsA - https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/hearing-loss-risk/.

    1. Hello CSherrod,

I have lost count of the times I have had to go to the doctor because of tinnitus. I have had psoriasis for 55 years and psoriatic arthritis for over 30 years, so they haven't narrow down which one is the culprit yet. It is very frustrating, but drugs do help. We all hope you feel better soon.

      Take care,

      Diane
