Long Road to PsA Diagnosis

I had been having flares for years. Been having the blisters and an elbow patch that never goes away.

Symptoms after pregnancy

I started really having issues around 27 after the birth of my second child. The pain was so bad and every doc I went to said there was nothing there, so I would continue working as a nurse wearing gloves all day when I had blisters and itching. The gloves only made the blisters worse but due to universal precautions, it was needed because they would pop and leave little holes in my hands.

My PsA diagnosis

I can no longer work and had injury after injury at work I finally found this one rheumatologist who was fairly new to the game and he figured out my diagnosis the first day! I was so relieved that I wasn’t a fruit cake making up something like I had been told by other docs. I’ve been seeing him for many years now. He’s one of the best docs I’ve ever had and I’m grateful to him.
