Why are my nails pitted?

  1. Because Psoriatic Arthritis affects the skin, as well as the joints and tendons, our nails are often involved. For advice on how to manage nail changes, talk to your dermatologist.

    1. I have had arthritis for decades. But was diagnosed with osteoporosis Now my nails have ridges and pits. Should I go back to Dr with this new symptom? Will this symptom last long? Or do I need to have Dr view it soon?

      1. Hi Lanes, thanks for reaching out. Since you are experiencing a new symptom, I would encourage you to make an appointment with your doctor. It is hard to say how long your symptom will last, it may be helpful to take pictures of your nails so your doctor can see what they look like now if it takes a bit of time to get an appointment. Please keep us posted on how you are doing.
