Symptoms u

I have PA that shows very little flaky skin. Mostly on my scalp. What I do have was described to as , “Under the skin PA”.
I feel burning and some pain, and a scarlet red area shows where it is burning.
I have been able to control it with medication and fungal powder. Also a liquid I order on Amazon called, Castellani Paint. It comes in clear and a violet color. The violet color will stain clothing. The combination of, Tacrolimus ointment,ZeasorbAF powder, and the liquid has kept me pretty steady for years.
Is this type unusual? Often other doctors will looked puzzled when I explain it. The diagnosis was given from a, Dr.Leo. A head doctor in the field.
I’m interested in learning more about the physical internal effects.

  1. Hi . if you are not confident with the diagnosis, I would definitely get a second opinion. What you describe also sounds similar to seborrheic dermatitis, which can sometimes be confused with psoriasis. In this community, we focus primarily on psoriatic arthritis, but we have a sister community for psoriasis, PlaquePsoriasis.com, where you might find more specific support. Here is a link to an article in that community about scalp psoriasis that might interest you: https://plaquepsoriasis.com/symptoms-affect-body/scalp-head-hair. I thought I would also share with you some information about seborrheic dermatitis, which is a form of eczema, from our AtopicDermatitis.net community: https://atopicdermatitis.net/living/seborrheic-dermatitis-tips. I hope this helps and that you get some relief. Best wishes. - Lori (Team Member).
