Surgical procedure on sausage finger

Is it possible to have arthiritis removed from a finger?

  1. Hi . Some people have had their finger joints replaced or fused. Do you think you might be a candidate for that kind of surgery? Wishing you the best. - Lori (Team Member)

    1. Hi my orthopedic surgeon told me that when I have a total knee replacement done it would get rid of all my arthritis in that knee. I know you are asking about a finger but it sounds like it is entirely possible to have the arthritis gone if you have a procedure like what @Lori.Foster suggested. Vickie W., Team Member

      1. There's an article from the American Society for Surgery of the Hand that explains a lot.
