Rainy day

Hi Diane, I used to jump out of bed and get moving. Now it is hard. My lower back, sore toes and my fingers hurt 24/7. I know we all feel the same, right now I'm using ice pack to help with the pain. What do you use

  1. Hello, , I'm sorry to hear that it's been hard lately. This community knows very well that mental adjustment that goes into having to change how you used to do things. You're definitely not alone.

I tagged Diane in your comment, so hopefully she sees it and can get back to you about what's been helpful for her pain personally. She has also written a couple articles on the topic of pain, which I wanted to share with you here. This one is about overcoming chronic pain, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/living/overcome-chronic-pain. Here's some of her tips for alternative treatments, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/living/alternative-treatments. And finally, this one has some of her tips for early PsA symptoms, https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/living/pain-relief-tips.

Hopefully, while you wait for her response these articles can give you some insights. Please don't hesitate to reach out in the meantime. We are here for you! Sending you gentle hugs. -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)

    1. , I am so sorry you are going through so much. I have days where I don't get out of bed. I take turmeric for inflammation and use heating pads. I'm on Skyrii and Methotrexate. I started out using ice, it made me hurt so much more. I try and get plenty of rest when I can. Have you ever been to a pain management doctor? They put you through a lot, but it's well worth it in the end. My hands started bothering me these last few years. I use a voice-activated computer now, it helps so much. It's like trial and error. We have to find out what works for us. Let us know how you are doing. We would like to hear more from you. Diane (Team Member)
