Not diagnosed

I just moved and it is taking months for an appointment with a rheumatologist; have Sjogrens, another autoimmune.

I am self diagnosing at this point. My appt is in June.

My hands are swollen, hard to bend. Right toes are clawlike and one is swollen with on and off pulsating pain. Hips hurt but tolerable and have off and on sciatica like pain.

I'm moving slower and seem to be depressed

Whatever it is. I don't want it!

Thanks for listening

  1. Hi . Finding new doctors after a move can be overwhelming and frustrating, for sure, but even more so when you need specialists. Could you ask your former rheumatologist for a video visit? If the pain, fatigue and depression become overwhelming, please at least see a primary care doctor. Maybe a course of steroids can make you more comfortable until that June appointment. Thinking of you and sending lots of gentle hugs your way. - Lori (Team Member)

    1. Hi . I wouldn't give up on your former rheumatologist just yet. Records are transferred digitally, so they should still have copies. It might be worth a shot. I hope there is a cancelation and that you get in much sooner than expected. We are happy to hold hands in this community. It's that kind of support that we are here for. 😀 - Lori (Team Member)
