"Newish" nail symptoms
In the last 2-3 weeks, I have developed 5 fingernails (3 on the left and 2 on the right), lifting and becoming hard/brittle. I am currently on Tremfya (this is the 5th biologic I've been on) and have had "success" with my pain levels for 5-6 out of the 8-week dosage. I've been on it for a little over 2 years. Is this newish nail symptom (I've never had this many or this bad before) a possible sign that the Tremfya is not working as well anymore? I do have to admit that I have been having more intense pain in my joints when it breaks through my pain meds. Please advise as much as you can, as I really don't want to have to try a new medication!

it's possible it could be a sign in my opinion, but you need to have your rheumatologist diagnose it. I understand not wanting to have to try another biologic but I'm pretty sure you also do not want the PsA causing more damage. Vickie W., Team Member
