Naturopath

Has anyone seen a Naturopath in addition to or instead of a Rheumatologist? I am thinking about seeing one in addition to my Rheumy because no medication seems to be helping me.

  1. I have wondered that as well. Some people close to me who are in the medical field, however, are concerned with a naturopathic course of treatment as an alternative because they worry it may not be enough to stop the progression. It could possibly help with inflammation and fatigue as an additional treatment though. Fingers crossed for some answers.

    1. Hi ! That's a good question. This was a popular topic on our Facebook page a while ago. The people who saw naturopaths in addition to seeing their rheumatologists generally seemed happy with their care. I hope you get lots of responses from the community and that, if you do see a naturopath, you get the relief you need and deserve. Best wishes! - Lori (Team Member)

      1. I saw a Functional Medicine Practitioner, and through supplements and food elimination, I got off my injections with no progression of the disease. I had to give up beef, gluten, dairy, and reduce sugar.
