Motivation

On days like today I don’t have any motivation I’m bone tired and stiff.
I need to move how do I get myself motivated?

  1. Hot shower, stretch, walk - good music, good book, good show - so hard some days ! If there are things to do, sometimes making a list helps. Lol, did that yesterday, maybe I'll actually cross something off of it today !

    1. Put on a pair of shoes, lace them and tie them, and then go outside for a walk. Getting outside and doing something is always better than sitting around feeling miserable.

      1. First, I do my usual 'Oh no!' This sentiment is followed by a few moments of pure feeling: panic or frustration, usually, but then my pragmatic self kicks in. I mention this because I need just a few minutes to grieve a bit because my day's great plans have been tossed. I am goal driven & look forward to my daily goals so that by the day's end, I can have a sense of accomplishment. Then, I know that I've acknowledged the need for adjustment & I can think of something else to inspire me because that's what we are really discussing-redirection by inspiration or challenge or whatever. And I agree with those who have responded, getting into nature is wonderful. Although I can no longer go for walks, I love getting outside & with a good bit of help, growing things. Also, I have four legged family who can always entertain or show me their needs. Then there are my hobbies-sewing, tailoring, reading, writing. Pretty soon, I have reconstructed my lost day into a day of vast opportunity.

        1. It’s just so upsetting when your own body feels like concrete and it takes everything you have to just get dressed. 5 out of 7 days are my slug concrete days. Do too much when feeling little better than pay the price. My mind thinks I am 35 body feels like 80 reality is I am 61 and have difficulty with this aging thing. Don’t get me wrong I am so grateful. But it’s just scary sometimes getting older. That’s my 2 cents. 🙂

          1. I sew and design patterns for sewing. It feeds the creative portion of my mind and I DO feel better. I also paint and design for myself.

          2. What a unique and creative pursuit, ! Thanks for chiming in. Warmly, Lori (Team Member)
