Introduction

Hello,
I’m new to this forum and thought I would introduce myself. I have psoriatic arthritis with some psoriasis. I was diagnosed in my late teens and have been dealing with it for around 30 years now. Needless to say, I feel like I have taken ALL the different medications. Haha. I have just started Tremfya (had my first injection this past Tuesday.) I was on humira for a very long time after having my kids (now 20 and 16), unfortunately it stopped working as well and I’ve been trying different combinations over the last 10 years or so. I’m crossing my fingers that Tremfya is going to work. Has anyone else been taking it? If so, how long from when you started did you feel some relief in your joints?
Have a great evening everyone!
Sandy

  1. I've not had experience with Tremfya, but I am on Skyrizi, another IL-23 inhibitor. I had failed Enbrel, Humira, Taltz, and finally Cosentyx. But, the Skyrizi has actually worked pretty well up to this point; I have done the two loading doses, and a third dose so far. While I still suffered flares while on the TNF inhibitors, and the IL-17 blockers, I've not had any since being on the Skyrizi (since August). I have noticed, however, that at about week 12, I start getting some stiffness in some of my fingers. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with the results, though I'm still anxious about its efficacy waning like the medicines that came before it.

    1. Hi , welcome to the community! Thank you for introducing yourself and sharing your story with us all. I can imagine you've been through a lot over the last 30 years.

I haven't personally tried Tremfya, but I was able to find the following forum discussion where a few people have shared their experiences with it: https://psoriatic-arthritis.com/forums/anyone-tried-tremfya I hope this is helpful and that the Tremfya brings you some relief. Please keep us posted if you can! Warmly, -Catherine, Community Moderator
