Has anyone else ever tried coconut oil?

I've had psoriasis most of my adult life. A year or so ago I decided to try using coconut oil in the shower instead of just body wash(even the most gentle soap or body wash makes me itch) and I love it. I wish I had thought of it sooner. It leaves my skin moisturized and l use so much less lotion throughout the day. Just thought I'd share what's helping me.

  1. , thank you for sharing this tip with us all. Coconut oil is a popular remedy among our https://plaquepsoriasis.com community! I personally use mostly almond oil, but I do use coconut oil on the psoriasis on my feet. I would never have thought to use it in the shower/bath! I can imagine it does leave the skin feeling extremely moisturised. Are you using it to wash with or applying it like a moisturiser whilst you're still in the shower? I will have to give this a go! Appreciate you thinking of us all and sharing here 💕 -Catherine, Community Moderator

    1. I use it more as in in shower moisturizer, but I only use minimal soap, so I guess it's more of a combination.

      1. Hello , I loved this. My mom made coconut oil to put on my body back in the 60s. I have been using it for decades now. My skin crack and bleed as a child and this is what she put on my to help with the cracking. She was my doctor as a child. It's so weird I can still remember the oil coming to the top in the pot and she would scape off the oil to put on me. Thanks for sharing this. Diane (Team Member)
