Elimination Diets

Hello everyone!

I’m curious if anyone has tried and had any luck with elimination diets.

I had a lot of luck with the Amy Myers Protocol (minus all the supplements she recommended 🫠) This was before some progression and well before my diagnosis.

I’ve recently read The Keystone Approach and am curious about the Paddison diet.

All fairly similar in that they are temporary elimination diets aimed at healing the gut and possibly discovering food triggers.

  1. Many of us here have discovered, by way of elimination or through flares, what foods trigger disease symptoms. The trick isn’t so much in figuring out what foods to avoid (or which to eat instead), but in actually sticking to a rigorous protocol of avoiding such foods. Ultra processed foods, particularly those that tend to be high in sugar, fat, and salt; alcohol; red meat; and diets low in whole foods such as whole grains, fresh fruits and fresh vegetables, tend to result in an increase in disease symptoms. But, they also tend to be what people like to eat.
