Biologic odors
I was recently diagnosed with PsA even though I have lived with the pain for about 30 years before diagnosis. My Rheumatologist put me on Cimzia injections and after my first loading dose, I noticed a foul smell from my BMs...like really strong asparagus pee. Is anyone else on Cimzia or another biologic experiencing this issue or is this something that I should be concerned about?

. I don't have any experience with Cimzia, but anytime you notice a significant change in odor or color of stool, you should mention it to your doctor, if you haven't already. The odor might be an effect of Cimzia, but something else might be causing the change that needs to be addressed. I hope you get some responses from the community. Hi, @Biggobelly I have been on several biologics for over 20years now. I would get a lot of infections. I remember telling my doctor that I thought my urine had a funny smell years ago. He shun me and said that any side effects I was having was not from the biologic. He said the medicine was changing the way my immune system was working. I just went with this because "my" doctor said so. This is something to ask your doctor about to be sure nothing serious is going on.
