Acute Anterior Uveitis

I had my first attack just over two weeks ago but my head is still painful and I often feel sick.

How long will this pain last?

  1. Hi . I have never experienced uveitis, but, from what I understand, you should not have head pain (unless the eye inflammation is still causing discomfort) or feel sick. Are you still taking medication for it? Could this be a reaction? It's best not to assume that your symptoms are related to your uveitis. I would give both your rheumatologist and your primary care doctor a call ASAP and ask for an evaluation. Please keep us posted if you are comfortable doing so. I will be thinking of you. - Lori (Team Member)

    1. Thank you, I have just noticed this message. I am new to the page and still trying to navigate my way around.
I am still waiting to see my rheumatologist who I haven’t been able to see since before lockdown. There is no point contacting my GP as now I am being seen by the rheumatologist the GP can’t really do anything.
Thank you so much for your lovely message.

  2. Hi @CommunityMember21f6f2, I can hear how hard this has been for you. Are you still in pain and feeling ill? I would definitely reach out to your doctor, if you haven't do so already. They would hopefully be able to help you with your pain. Please keep us posted. Jill, team member
