Feeling Hopeful After Diagnosis

I have a history of my foot swelling up without any obvious injuries. It’d happen about every 6-7 years.

Impaired walking with PsA

When it happened overnight in 2018 it didn’t improve. I was treated for a hairline fractured sesamoid and chronic tears in the surrounding tendons. The last two years have had my walking severely limited. I lost my career working in labs, and my hobby of hiking and showing dogs.

Finding relief in a diagnosis

I cried when I got my diagnosis 8 weeks ago because it gave me renewed hope that I can get some of my life back. I know the hunt for a medication can be long, but I am hopeful that we are close to finding relief. And sometimes I want to say a few choice words to my podiatrist and my pcp for not sending me to a rheumatologist sooner. I was literally just on turmeric previously as my pain was discounted.
