Just diagnosed for a week

Hi, I'm Tine. 2020 May I had COVID very bad. Now, I have lung COVID, so I'm not cured at all yet.

In February 2021, I received my 2nd vaccination. From then on, I started to feel pain in my knees, wrists, elbows, hips, and left heel.

I have been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis for a week now. I also suffer from white patches on my scalp. I don't really know what to expect with this disease, I feel like an old woman.

Hi Tieske, I had a terrible case of COVID with COVID pneumonia 7/2020. I was diagnosed with PsA 6 mos ago. When my autoimmune system went into overdrive, it allowed the release of the PsA from my genetic makeup. According to my rheumatologist, my lungs are permanently damaged from the COVID and now with the Humira treatment, I have to be especially careful with the respiratory viruses. It's a little difficult since I am a RN in clinical setting. I would like to see more studies on the after effects of COVID initiated and supportive groups for follow up. I am military veteran and have always been very active, so this disease process is very upsetting. But...I am still going to the gym 3 x week, and walking my dogs. I may be only doing half of what I am used to, but I need to keep as active as possible for my physical as well as my mental being! Let's keep the glass half full, not half empty! Laura
