I went through 18 months of heartbreak looking after my dad who had vascular dementia on top of working crazy hours as a carer suffering from sore hands, fingers, feet, and nails all bruised and coming away too. I collapsed at work and took to hospital where I was told to go to my own doctor. They referred me to a rheumatologist who, right away on examining, diagnosed me psoriatic arthritis on July 2016.
