It Began With Psoriasis

My psoriasis started when I was 5 and has had a long-term effect on my confidence. At age 40 my joints started to ache and at age 46 I was diagnosed with bilateral Achilles tendinopathy tennis elbow and general age relayed hip degeneration and feet issues. Thankfully I had an amazing podiatrist who referred me to rheumatology and I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis! I am a single mum who has worked 2 jobs for 18 years done DIY and generally been mum and dad now i struggle to walk from bus station to work and in constant pain My family are not supportive at all and as I am single I feel very alone in this battle So glad I found this group If anyone in my area of Lanarkshire Scotland and be interested in forming a support group I would be interested!!!

Welcome to our little corner of the internet! I’m so glad you found us 🙂 I’m very thankful to your podiatrist who took the time to dig a little deeper and get to the bottom of your foot pain. This condition can be very isolating, especially when family and friends can’t relate, but you are not alone. There are thousands of us just on the other side of the screen and we’re here for you. Sending a big hug from Canada!
