PsA and chronic kidney disease

I am new to this community though I'm not new to psoriatic arthritis. I was diagnosed in June of 2004. My disease has progressed substantially since then.

A new chronic kidney disease diagnosis

What I would like to share is the fact that I just learned yesterday that I am in stage 3 chronic kidney disease. I would like to see if anyone else has experienced this in their journey, or if it is totally unrelated to PsA. I would like to hear from others who are a part of this community. BTW I count it a great honor to be a part of such a group of brave people!

Unfortunately people with PsA have a higher risk of chronic kidney disease than the general population. I really do hope that you hear back from our community with their experience with this. <inline-mention username="rhonda" user-id="3308079"/> Hi Rhonda, I was unaware of the risk or connection of chronic kidney disease and PsA. Another lovely surprise from the gift that just keeps on giving 😊 I’m going through some digestion issues at the moment and due in hospital for tests at the end of next month. IBD is another closely linked condition as far as I understand. What are the symptoms of your kidney problems? Please excuse my ignorance on the subject. Is there treatment that can ease and manage the condition? I am on weekly Enbrel injections and get my bloods checked every 3 months, I guess you are similar and that is where the condition was properly identified? I wish you all the very best for your care and hope you can manage your health effectively with your medical team. Take care. Greg.
