"I have had all the classic symptons of PsA since my teens. After over 25 years of misdiagnosis by multiple physicians, including rheumatology, I was finally diagnosed at age 50! Needless to say, I have permanent damage that I have no choice but to learn how to live with. Treatment was started immediately. However, after a year & a half, nothing has been successful. I can no longer work & my physical abilities are extremely limited. Praying the next course of treatment may be the one that works at reducing pain & further damage. My oldest daughter was diagnosed with PsA by a wonderful rhuematologist shortly after I was finally diagnosed. She is 32 years old, married & they have 5 children! Fortunately, she listened to me pushing her to see a rhuematologist before she has permanent damage like I do. Her rheumatologist started her on humira & she says it has been a life changer for her! I thank God for that! Now I try to educated anyone & everyone I can about PsA. I know we will find a treatment that will help preserve the limitted functioning I have left. I just keep plugging along as best I can, thanking God for the good days. The bad days, I thank God for getting me through raising my children so I can rest now."
